Purpose of Job Covering Leicestershire and Milton Keynes sites. To identify training needs and deliver required training at one of the UKs largest supplier of pre-cast concrete solutions through its quarries, surfacing, readymix and precast plant sites who supply a wide range of heavy building materials to the construction industry Reporting to: Group Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) Manager Salary & Benefits: Competitive salary of £32k plus, Contributory Pension Scheme Duties & Responsibilities: - Identify training and development needs through job analysis and regular consultation with site managers and human resource department - Produce programmes that are satisfactory to all relevant parties within the organisation and to the required standard - Produce training material for in-house training, including course assessment and evaluation - Ensure that statutory training requirements are met (as a minimum) - Amend and revise programmes as necessary in order to adapt to changes occurring in the work environment and legislation - Help line managers solve specific training problems - Keep up to date with developments in training by reading relevant journals, attending relevant courses and maintaining CPD - Monitoring and evaluate staff to ensure compliance. - Consider the costs of planned programmes and keep within budgets - Promote a positive H&S culture within the organisation - Ability to work with the Group SHE Manager and SHE colleagues to help maintain the internal health and safety standards within the operational portfolio. - Ensure that training programmes are optimised with the number of delegates proportionate to the subject matter being delivered.
