You will join this organisation as a Project Manager and lead the development of a new PMO and project management team. Client Details A international retail business with clients based across worldwide location Description We are looking for a Project Manager to head up our newly created Project Management Office. The Project Manager will lead a dynamic Project Office which will prepare project schedules; liaise with customers, contractors and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered to the agreed timetable. The Project Manager will provide support to the Business, planning and managing design and technical resources within a small team. Attending and managing design review and progress review meetings internally and with the client and approval authorities. - Effectively planing and managing assigned projects ensuring delivery within agreed budget and robust timescales through all stages of the project life cycle. - Have a full understanding of customer/stakeholder requirements with the aim of meeting or exceeding major milestones. - Manage the customer expectations by reflecting them in clear plans and reporting them accurately, capturing any variations. - Maintaining confidence in project delivery through regular communication of milestones. - Anticipating and being proactive in controlling project activities and budgets. - Being an ambassador for Project Management to the business. - Demonstrate sound leadership and communicate effectively. - Facilitate and coordinate all project meetings, workshops and documentation. Profile To be considered for the role of Project Manager you must have evidence of strong leadership skills, resilience, ability to drive success from ambiguity, and to act as a change agent. Along with this you must hold relevant and up to date Project Management qualifications e.g. PMI, Prince, MSP, Agile etc. Additionally you will need to display; An excellent attention to detail, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to resource and structure teams with the necessary knowledge and skills to develop a project successfully, as well as being good team player - Project management experience focused predominantly around application development and process implementation as opposed to purely IT Infrastructure. - Strong interpersonal skills, and in-depth experience running workshops - Strong facilitation and team-building skills. - Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, at all levels and across different audiences - Prince 2 or PMI qualification is essential. Job Offer Up to £50,000 basic salary
