We are working in partnership with an engineering and design consultancy that specialises in complex infrastructure, process and built environments. They deliver projects from cradle-to-grave for clients across the energy, life sciences and manufacturing, nuclear, and utility services sectors. An exciting opportunity is available for a Process Engineer to working with a leading engineering consultancy assisting them with various nuclear related projects. Roles and Responsibilities: To provide process engineering input required in the execution of a project/proposal/study working under the supervision of a Senior Engineer key objectives To achieve Chartered Membership of the IChemE via the company training scheme to allow progress to Senior Engineer grade Principal responsibilities and accountabilities - To work with the lead engineer in ensuring that process design is carried out according to programme and within budgeted man hours - To ensure health, safety and environmental issues are fully considered in a project - To ensure cost effective designs are produced - To support the lead engineer in program preparation/preparation of man hour estimates/control and monitoring - Developing conceptual designs - Carry out design work - Participation in hazard studies - Presentations to potential and existing clients Person Specification: Qualifications and training Essential : IChemE accredited degree course Desirable: Post graduate qualification in Nuclear Engineering Technical skills and experience - Ability to communicate at all levels - Confident and articulate - Problem solving and originality - Computer literate including Process Engineering CAD packages - High degree of self-motivation and ability to motivate others - Ability to work under pressure and with minimum supervision Essential Experience: - Previous experience of working in a consultancy/contracting environment on Nuclear projects - Degree in Chemical Engineering (ideally MEng and above) - Working towards chartership
