The Role We are looking for an Assistant Proposals Engineer to effectively manage and maintain the department's processes and documentation control in compliance with corporate requirements. You will assist the Proposals team with converting pipeline opportunities in the Oil & Gas, Telecoms, and Renewables Industries into winning bids/order closure to meet the Business Strategy. Responsibilities include: - Working closely with the Proposals Team to support preparation (Application support) of proposals within specified timescales ensuring compliance with document control requirements - Performing regular systematic quality control checks on projects - Providing reports to team to ensure all checklists and submission data is completed and ready for audit. - Ensuring all projects, and due submissions are recorded correctly onto the system to assist the proposal manager in managing team workload. - Updating the system with full submission data when sent, ensuring all data is completed for accounts and key documents are linked to submission - Maintain/ improve reporting systems and produce KPI reports to company requirements. - Challenging convention and exploring all avenues to meet Customer expectations - Creating and maintaining risk registers for bids in line with Company processes; to understand competitor tactics and behaviour to shape the proposal and mitigate risks - Assisting in the development of the technical, commercial and financial solution as the bid progresses. - Assisting with the production of the proposal documentation in accordance with best practice and business governance processes The Ideal Assistant Proposals Engineer: Our Ideal Assistant Proposals Engineer must have previous experience of working in an Engineering environment. You will also: - Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, Adobe, etc. and high level Organisational Skills. - Ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines and a track record in delivering results. - Flexible approach to work in order to support colleagues and meet department deadlines - Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate efficiently across all levels of the organisation - Must have strong financial and commercial awareness. - Ideally, Previous document management experience and knowledge and experience of Proposals within the Offshore Marine Environment You Will Receive: Our ideal Assistant Proposals Engineer will receive a highly Competitive Salary as well as benefits such as Private Medical Insurance, Matched Pension Scheme and a variety of over 200 perks.
