I am currently recruiting for a methodical and diligent IT Technical Manager to be based in Upminster, Essex. The IT Technical Manager will be responsible for supporting the IT Services function for the business. The overall accountability of this role is to manage, develop and improve the end to end IT service, including implementation and management of IT transformation projects. Provide infrastructure solutions and enable innovations by leverage technology that will create business value. - Manage, mentor and develop IT colleagues in line with core values and behaviours - Strong technical leadership to support IT colleagues - Provide ongoing technology support, business needs analysis & technology recommendations - Lead technology implementation projects to deliver business value - Manage internal customers (colleagues) expectations with regards to IT support services, resolving escalated issues to ensure colleague satisfaction - Management of IT service delivery teams - Develop, implement and manage IT Service improvement plan Experience - 10 to 15 years' track record of providing end user IT service, infrastructure support and delivering technology transformation with minimum of 5 years in a management/leadership role - Solid Project Management experience delivering infrastructure, applications and IT system support tools - Strong ITIL Service Management knowledge and implementation experience Requirements This is a hands on role requiring a high level of technical knowledge. Solid networking experience is vital due to the multi-location nature of the organisation. Other knowledge and skills required are: - Windows Server 2008 upwards - Windows XP upwards - Exchange Server 2007 upwards - Multi-routed networking - Disaster Recovery procedures - Security best practices - Upgrades, migrations and installations
