The client Based near to the centre of Stoke-on-Trent my client is a well stablished presence within their field with a national presence and reach. Within easy reach of the A50, A500 and the M6 this growing company is seeking a Management Accountant who is either part-qualified or fully qualified. The Role This job is a full time permanent Management Accountant position. Working hours are 0830 - 1700 with study support provided if required. Working within an established team you will be responsible for supervising a number of trainee accountants and offering training and support to an AP clerk and payroll officer. As well as this, you will be reporting to the Financial Controller and will be responsible for the payment function of the business as well as supervising the processing of weekly payroll for the employee base. As management accountant you will be producing balance sheet reconciliations for month end and, when you have established your presence in the department and are comfortable with the role the Financial Controller will look to pass over some additional management account responsibilities to increase your exposure to the accounts function. Within the remit of this role you will be integral in identifying areas where processes and policies could be improved and streamlined and you will have the opportunity to assist with system improvement and development. Cost centre recharges will fall within your remit as will costs relating to fleet. This job will suit a part qualified or newly qualified candidate with relevant experience. Requirements for the job My client are seeking a part qualified or qualified candidate who is seeking a management accountant position. Within this role study support will be provided. Our client would consider CIMA or ACCA qualification, or equivalent local qualifications. It is necessary for this role that you have experience of payroll processing as well as a solid understanding of AP procedures. The client uses Excel daily therefore knowledge of vLookups and Pivot tables is essential. Additional Excel skills would be beneficial. In relation to systems knowledge full training will be provided on the system that is used. You must be able to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines
