Excellent opportunity for an Engineering Manager to join an innovative company to head up their NPI function based in Swansea. Client Details Based in Swansea my client are an innovative business who develop, manufacture and distribute their award winning product both in the the UK and Globally. Description As the NPI Engineering Manager you will be responsible for: - Understanding the customer specifications and company standards and verifying the same in the finished products - Supply chain management - sourcing alternative and new suppliers, ensuring backup suppliers - Building and implementing production testing tools/jigs, labelling & tracking systems - Confirming the specification of each new product before it goes for manufacturing - Checking the quality of new and existing products and identifying potential problems and faults - Quoting production costs and expenses, and presenting to the management - Constant monitoring and review of cost base for products and processes - Training and managing juniors in all aspects of the new product launch - Providing feedback about the finished product and recommendations to the Research and Development department for accurate development of the product Profile To be considered as the NPI Engineering Manager you will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience: - Ideally Degree qualified in an engineering discipline - You will be able to demonstrate a track record in related engineering roles, with proven success in new product introduction - An in depth knowledge of QC systems such as APQP, DFMEA - Excellent leadership & coordination skills - Excellent problem solving skills - Ability to travel & flexibility to participate in international calls during "offhours" - A self-starter with energy and drive - A strong written & verbal communicator with well-developed presentation, negotiation and rapport-building skills - Strong strategic, technical, interpersonal and organisational skills - Team player who builds strong, effective partnerships - High grade analytical and report writing skills - A keen eye for detail Job Offer Excellent salary and benefits.
