IT Project Coordinator - Managed Services
If you're a Project Coordinator looking for a high level of autonomy and end-to-end responsibility tasks within a project context as directed by a project manager, including support, reporting on costs / charges, managing parts of projects, administration, and scheduling and booking resources, Computacenter is the place to be. We are Europe's leading independent provider of IT infrastructure services and solutions. Our Project Practice division is growing fast, with infrastructure projects typically including contractual service transactions, transformations, data centre relocations, rollouts, WAN and IP projects, and VDI/Virtualisation engagements. Covering Hertfordshire and the South East, you'll work across this project range, getting to know many different customers. We'll empower you to find and deliver the solutions that put customer needs first, trust your judgement to make the big decisions and give you the space to get things done. You must have experience of assisting with managing projects, monitoring and reporting costs, acting as a configuration librarian and project support, setting up and participating in project offices, managing and booking project resources.
Competitive Salary + Car or Car Allowance + Attractive Benefits Package
Based: Hatfield - Whilst you are aligned to the Hatfield Office, the role is classed as mobile and covers the whole of the UK so will require travel to Customer sites, working away and overnight stays.
Computacenter is Europe's leading independent provider of IT infrastructure services and solutions. In our Project Practice division, we continue to expand our pipeline and record of business wins because we set clear expectations, take a straightforward and pragmatic approach, and are honest with our customers throughout a project. If you're a Project Coordinator who delivers solutions rather than talks about them, we're ready to welcome you to the team. We'll give you broad experience, opportunities to pursue your interests and room to advance your career. Our infrastructure portfolio include contractual service transactions, transformations, datacentre relocations, rollouts, WAN and IP projects, and VDI/Virtualisation engagements. Working across this project range, your role will extend from typical tasks and their proportions of the working week and will vary greatly according to assignment, which by their very nature will each require different emphasis, following the instructions of a project manager, liaising with service providers to secure resource for the project, monitoring and controlling the work of project staff performing tasks delegated to the project co-ordinator.
We're looking for someone who is literate (able to write credible documents) and numerate (confident with calculating costs), ability to get on with people at all levels, flexible approach to our work, ideally working towards a Prince 2 Practitioner qualification and have experience of working in a project team.
