Position: Design Engineer Location: Landscape House, Elland Job Type: Full Time, Permanent Hours: Monday - Friday 09.00 - 5.00 p.m. (30 mins unpaid lunch break) Salary: £Competitive Benefits: Pension with employer contributions; Company Share options; 26 days leave + statutory About the role: A position has become available within the Marshalls Water Management Team and they are looking for a Design Engineer to strengthen their industry leading support team and help meet the increasing demand within the growth area of water management. The successful candidate will offer design support and design solutions utilising the Marshalls product range to their wide-ranging customer base. You will also be required to act as Lead Designer and Team Leader to manage the day to day workload of the water management design team as well as providing technical support to the specialist regional sales force. You will also assist the Water Management Technical Manager with more strategic goals such as new product development and maintaining a high level of technical expertise. About you: To be successful in this position you must hold a qualification in a Construction, Engineering or Building discipline or relevant experience with significant design experience within a customer focused technical or technical support environment. You will have the ability to read and understand construction drawings with an understanding of Microsoft Office software. As part of the role you will need to demonstrate accurate & concise written communication, be PC literate with a basic understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook & Power Point, CRM, AX & other IT systems. You will have the ability to listen and act upon feedback, with the ability to meet all required communication deadlines. It would be advantageous if you had experience with any of the following: CAD, 3D / BIM modelling, MicroDrainage or other hydraulic calculation tools, drainage design (preferably with a hydraulic bias) or Highways design.
