About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Web Developer at our head office in Bradford where you will be tasked with providing strong front-end web development skills and commercial software development experience to the Provident Online Delivery team.

Duties will include providing technical expertise for the implementation of Web front-end / User Experience-focused software changes and development of new capabilities, providing strong Javascript, Jquery, CSS, HTML 5 and MVC development skills, and UX/UI design skills.

Other tasks will include Pair-programming, Branch / Merge Strategy, Unit Test Approach, Active Documentation, and support investigations and diagnostic capability for defects and issues as and when required and engage in issue resolution where appropriate.

About you

The successful candidate will have more than 3 years' experience in developing enterprise scale e-Commerce / online applications with a particular emphasis on front end development and User Experience, as well as a strong background in the following technologies:- MS C# .net 4.5 / Javascript / JQuery CSS / HTML 5, and MVC principles.

You will have a sound understanding of Continuous Integration and Unit Testing, ideally within a TFS / Visual Studio development environment, working in a project delivery environment with regular releases to a live environment, exposure to working in an agile environment, excellent written and verbal communication, and rigorous attention to detail.
Umbraco CMS would also be a strong advantage.
