We now have an excellent opportunity for a CMM Programmer, to join our busy Manufacturing team based in our rapidly growing facility in Basingstoke and work as an integral part of our specialist quality department.
The CMM programmer is passionate about making a difference and is pro-active in pursuing continuous quality improvement throughout the Company.They will be a strong communicator with good interpersonal skills and excellent analytical skills, with the ability to trend and draw conclusions from data effectively. They will be innovative and flexible in their approach, always looking to deliver excellence in their quality of work, with strong attention to detail. In order to excel in this role the successful candidate will work well on their own initiative as well as part of a team, and has the ability to work to varying deadlines and time scales, managing priorities and organising their work load effectively.
They use these skills to take responsibility for:Programming, operating and managing CMM’s and all related tasks.Writing and proving out own programmes without supervision.Producing, interpreting and analysing CMM resultsMeasuring using standard Engineering equipment as back up for verification of programmesUsing all other company measuring equipment as part of the verification process of parts as requiredLiaising with all required interfaces in particular Design and Manufacturing Engineering as applicableCarrying out investigations as requiredMaintenance and management of the current company CMM programmesAssisting in the pursuit of companywide ownership and implementation of quality improvement and corrective action systemsKeeping abreast of changing quality techniques and principles and where agreed convert those into company practiceTherefore we are ideally looking for someone who is experienced in CMM programming, and is comfortable with engineering specifications and CAD models. Understanding of CAMIO / MODUS software and knowledge of NIKON CMM’s is beneficial although not essential.
