An Aircraft Technician who is Avionics or biased is required to join a market leading Innovative Defence Systems Company. The Aircraft Technician will provide support for the Ground Control Station at location. The Aircraft Technician will be deployed to overseas locations and also support UK based activities as required. They are responsible for all technical aspects related to the avionics within the Aircraft Systems. The Aircraft Technician will carry out maintenance and engineering activity in accordance with the relevant Maintenance Manuals and Engineering Technical Instructions. Aircraft Technician - Key Responsibilities - Carry out the Launch and Recovery procedures - Receive, deploy and set up the air and ground systems - Carry out Pre-flight and post procedures - Carry maintenance on avionics or mechanical systems - Utilise Special Test Equipment (STE) and Ground Support Equipment - Conduct fault diagnosis procedures - Carry out primary Flight data Recorder (FDR) data analysis - Download FDR data from the (Flight Liner Tester) - Raise Technical Issue forms on avionics systems - Implement corrective actions as required - Ensure the Site Managers are informed of all avionic related technical issues - Assist the Site Managers as required during post-crash management Technical Skills and Experience for Aircraft Technician - Qualified Aircraft Avionics Technician - Experience of working on rotational operational projects and deployments essential - Familiar with air, aviation and ISTAR operations preferred - Mentally and physically fit and robust individual - Self-motivated with the ability to work in physically arduous conditions - Experience of operating in a hostile environment for operations and deployment - Experience of working from detached sites both in the UK and overseas - Must be flexible and adaptable with the ability to work as part of a small team - Must be prepared to deploy overseas for extended periods - Excellent communication skills, both written and oral - Thorough knowledge of the Microsoft Office package (word, excel, outlook) **Security Clearance will be required for this role and therefore only applications from candidates able to obtain this will be considered** If you feel you meet the requirements for the role of the Aircraft Technician then apply directly or contact Peter Heap at Jonathan Lee Recruitment.
