Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer Location: Blackpool FY4 4QE Salary: Competitive Salary dependant on skills or experience About the company: Based in Blackpool, our client is the UK's fastest growing contract supplement manufacturer within the Sports Nutrition and Health Supplements market, producing in excess of 2 billion tablets and 500 million capsules a year. The role of the Engineer: You will be responsible for maintaining the plant and equipment, carrying out proactive and reactive maintenance and repairs to the plant and services. Duties of the Engineer: - To support the manufacturing process by responding effectively to equipment breakdowns, carrying out scheduled maintenance work and being proactive on the correction and modification of reoccurring machine processing faults. - To respond effectively to equipment breakdowns and ensure maximum focus is given to continuous improvement. - To fault find in an effective and efficient manner whilst utilising the various machines relevant documentation. - To establish harmonious relations with the operational staff and to work flexibly with them. - Ensuring that machinery is maintained, and repaired to a high standard. Requirements of the Engineer: - Experienced Multi Skilled Engineer is preferable - Qualified electrical ability is required with this post (The role is 90% mechanical , 10% electrical) - Competent electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills - Previous site services experience, ideally gained within a food manufacturing or similar environment - Ability to work both independently as well as in a team, with effective communication skills across all levels and the commitment to achieve deadlines The ideal Engineer will need the following: - Experienced mechanical and electrical maintenance background - Proven mechanical and electrical competency skills - Time served qualification/apprentice trained - Ability to work unsupervised and possess a logical and thorough approach to fault finding - Planned preventative maintenance systems - Experience of material handling conveyor systems - Health and Safety awareness and experience of conducting risk assessments Engineer Benefits: - 28 days' paid holiday per annum (including Bank Holidays).
