We are looking for a talented Sales Engineer to join our UK team based at our Yeovil site in the South West of England. Your main activities will include:

As AW101 Sales Engineer your main purpose is to provide technical support and assistance to Heads of Region, Sales Personnel and the Bid Management Departments in respect of all marketing activities relating to the AW101.

Your main activities will include, but not be limited to:
• Generate information relating to aircraft build standards by interfacing directly with senior Leonardo Helicopters Product Managers.
• Present build standard and technical advice information to both UK and overseas customers.
• Prepare technical responses through all stages of the Marketing acquisition cycle i.e. Long Term Positioning/Opportunity Capture/Campaign Pursuit.
• Generate technical briefs relating to the AW101 product to support RFI’s, RFQ’s and RFP’s.
• Liaison with Procurement Marketing where applicable, for understanding of supplier products and capabilities.
• Support major air shows and dedicated events both in the UK and overseas.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
• The knowledge and skills for the Sales Engineer is an education to at least degree level with significant experience within Leonardo Helicopters.
• The majority of experience should be from within an engineering discipline relating to the aircraft and its mission systems.
• The job holder should be capable of excellent presentation skills; this is in order to provide credible and meaningful advice to potential customers and other stakeholders within the UK and overseas.
• Due to the nature of the role, experience of dealing with and negotiating with external customers is essential.
• The job holder should be capable of working to tight deadlines, with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
• Have good knowledge of IT based system such as PowerPoint, MS Word & Excel in order to produce material for technical briefs and presentations. Also needs to be adaptable to embracing new Marketing media techniques i.e. interactive technologies, augmented reality and virtual reality etc.
• This position is based in Yeovil, however the nature of the role involves an amount of travel; therefore flexibility is required with regard to activities and support worldwide.

The salary for this role would be between late thirties to mid-forties, dependent on relevant skills and experience.
