Sue Ross Recruitment currently have a fantastic opportunity for a professional and dynamic Senior PHP Developer to join our client, a successful software development company based in Sheffield. In this role you'll be able to work on large projects working as part of a SCRUM team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working on projects with a variety of durations and working within a medium-large team. In this role you will be involved in various stages of projects including: - Contribute to client proposals - Prepare for the start of a project by selecting appropriate tools and services taking in to account level of knowledge and expectations of the team and company - Undertaking sprint work - this will involve writing code and carrying out tests - Liaise with junior developers, clients and stakeholders - Participate in Agile ceremonies involving stand-ups and demos on a daily basis - Contribute to project retrospectives Requirements: - Strong programming knowledge and able to write code quickly maintaining a high standard of accuracy - Able to design and construct PHP applications competently defining the architecture solutions to connect services, ORMs and caching - Able to create analysis and prioritise when working on internal projects - Knowledge of a GIT version control system - Able to work in a team, guiding, steering and supporting it towards the completion of goals - Able to help others integrate into the team and be productive as soon as possible - Hold a relevant certification e.g. Magento Certified Developer, Zend Certified PHP, or SensioLabs Certified Symfony Developer - A degree in Computer Science or a similar field is desirable. - Ideally but by no means essentially led a small team, or sub-team on an ad-hoc basis or temporary basis Unfortunately due to the number of applications we receive, we are unable to provide individual feedback to all applicants.
