Overview As a world leading metrology specialist Renishaw provide cutting edge software across a number of platforms in order to provide our customers the best experience possible. We are currently seeking an experienced Mobile Applications developer to work within our small but expanding Mobile Apps team in the design, development and delivery of new mobile applications to work across a range of areas using novel UX, workflows and techniques. Applicants will have demonstrable experience of working in an enterprise level mobile applications team. The successful candidate will work in a fast-moving agile environment to deliver a range of apps across our diverse product range with a strong emphasis on 2D and 3D visualisation. Responsibilities * C, Java, Objective C, Swift * Develop and deploy professional mobile applications * Writing clear, concise code * Algorithm development * Writing professional developer documentation * Occasional travel to India to work with team members Key requirements * Educated to at least degree level in Computer Science or similar relevant scientific discipline (minimum 2:2 grade); OR the ability to demonstrate comparable applied knowledge and expertise to an equivalent level * Strong Object Oriented programming experience * Proven experience of writing quality mobile Applications * Significant Objective-C / Swift experience * Practical understanding of X-Code IDE, JSON, UNIT Testing, HTML, XML, CSS * Experience of working within a formal software development process, preferably Agile * Experience with working alongside remotely located developers * Interaction with web APIs * Experience of version control systems GIT/TFS * A passion for technology * A full, valid passport ensuring unrestricted travel to and from the UK Desirable requirements * Android studio * Automated multi-platform testing in a mobile environment * Continuous build * Jenkins server * Network analysis tools * Games development with an emphasis on 3D visualisation * Cross platform experience Person specification The successful applicant will be an organised and dynamic results driven individual, keen to make a significant contribution within a small tightly knit team. They will be technically strong and have both the vision and attention to detail needed to succeed. Strong communication and team skills are essential.
