Here at Moneybarn, we are now recruiting for a Finance Team Leader to join our existing Finance Team at Petersfield. Responsibilities Include: - The day to day management of the department including recruitment, development, performance management, training, succession planning as well as overseeing the progress of all work conducted within the department - Conducting appraisals, providing feedback and setting measurable objectives - Supervising, monitoring and measuring team outputs - Supporting the team in delivery of their daily tasks as required - Ensuring all internal controls are accurately maintained, reconciled, documented and correctly reported - Resolving queries and providing technical support and advice to the team - Developing a culture of continuous improvement, focused on increasing effectiveness and efficiency - Inspiring, motivating, coaching and developing individuals to achieve outstanding performance through personal leadership and effective performance management - Managing absences and holidays through Cascade (HR system) - Supporting or leading adhoc project work assigned to the team - Providing adhoc support to the Financial Controller as required Person Specification - Excellent attention to detail - Resilience, assertive and confident in making decisions - Have a proactive management style and possess a solutions focused approach to challenges - Comfortable working within a regulated environment, process, procedures - Experience of sales ledger, purchase ledger and bank reconciliation procedures - Ability to pick up new systems quickly - Willing to help the team with workloads - Remains calm under pressure - Enjoys being part of a team - Self-motivated and able to motivate others - Interpersonal and organisational skills - Strong analytical and communication (written and verbal) skills - Good time management and ability to prioritise workload Essential: - Part qualified accountant - Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word) - Experience of managing a team and undertaking performance reviews Desirable: - FCA & CCA experience - Experience working within the motor finance industry Applicant information: Please note that Moneybarn carry out both Financial Checks and Criminal Record Bureau Checks as part of the recruitment process for all roles.
