ROLE PURPOSE: To provide high quality analysis, modelling and reporting that supports decision making within the directorate and adds insight. Develop commercial expertise to proactively challenge assumptions and improve business performance.

The role will be required to work on their own initiative and develop MI reporting tools, databases and design and implement agreed data feeds from a number of key suppliers. The role holder must poses sufficient IT and analytical expertise to be able to self design and implement such systems, and be capable of identifying key fleet indicators to support the business.

Key Activities

Design and preparation of regular/monthly and ad hoc reports intended for internal stakeholders as requestedProduce useful insight and valuable information from various raw data sourcesFuel reporting – cross charges, monthly stock reporting, diesel price update for agency costsMonthly vehicle repair and accident costs by location and divisionRecognising and extracting critical indicators from large and complex data sets and able to interpret and express those indicators in a business contextUnderstanding the information needs, the business objectives and the market sectors of the business and implementing appropriate data analysis strategiesLiaising with third parties where necessary for data to conduct analysis, research output and reportsAnalysing data returns from tenders and summarizing data for business caseAccident Reporting and cost analysisTrending in relation to the data sets and operational MIReplacement schedule for vans – AAH & LloydsRaising capex’s and orders with leasing company for van replacementsRaising capex for Fleet related capital expenditureTake responsibility for the quality and accuracy of data held for the purposes of reporting- Maintenance, data integrity monitoring

- Fuel stock monitoring and MPG reporting

- Investigation and resolution

Take responsibility for the population and monthly/weekly updating of the Distribution Dashboard and ensuring integrity of dataAccident Management Dashboard – Cost control toolManage and or be part of specific projects and challenges aimed at looking to improve the performance of the business function.
