Technical Support Engineer

A leader in the UK market for fifty years, our client can be found throughout British industry, from workshops and garages to factories and power stations.

A vacancy has arisen within in their Burgess Hill office for a Technical Support Engineer to provide office based support within the Technical department.

The key areas of responsibility are to provide both company customers, and distributor network with mechanical and electrical support and assistance in the resolution of any problems arising, for all company products, producing technical specifications and documentation and supporting service training.

The Technical Support Engineer will have the following skills and qualifications:

The successful candidate must be either an engineer with experience of mechanical, electrical and electronic equipment or a recently academically qualified engineer with little formal experience.

Preferred qualifications:

Electrical or Electronic Engineering HNC

Electrical or Electronic Engineering BEng (Hons)

The successful Technical Support Engineer will demonstrate the ability and desire to undertake the training on offer and to learn technical details of all products in order to provide expert technical support. It is essential that the candidate can represent the company as a people orientated team player working with internal and external colleagues, customers, suppliers and partners, with the ability to communicate technical information.

Training given will include fundamentals and the generation of compressed air; mechanical functions of equipment; electrical functions of equipment, including motors, frequency drive units, and controllers; principles of control regulation of compressed air systems, including the programming of controllers.
