AMETEK LAND has over 65 years experience in the fields of Infrared Temperature Measurement and Combustion Efficiency & Environmental Emissions Monitoring; providing solutions for a diverse range of applications in a variety of industries including Metals, Hydrocarbon processing, Glass and Power Generation.

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to work in the busy Engineered Solutions department, at the Head Office Facility in Dronfield, S18 1DJ.

The main purpose of this role is to provide engineering feasibility, design, build and test for special products and support to engineered solution projects to meet customer requirements, and will include;

·Undertaking the technical & commercial feasibility review of enquiries for special products.

·Design of special instruments including generation of material data, BOM’s, Routes, Assembly & Test procedures and operating instructions.

·Support ES through Mechanical Design

·Process and manage CAD requirements related to ES Projects, 3D CAD technologies

·Complete contract review of orders within ES.

The successful candidate will have;

    Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or similar relevant disciplineCAD Knowledge & ExperienceATEX trained (Awareness/Electrical design installation training)Previous experience in a similar role/environmentAbility to write test reports and prepare technical filesIT Literate, Experience of Microsoft Applications and Lotus Notes domino systems are all preferred
