HR Consultancy are working with a Global IT Consultancy to provide contract staff to work on a major project based in Edinburgh.

We require a number of rules developers to work on this project, you must have strong Java experience (at least 10 years, and 4 years minimum of rules development. You will have a demonstrable history of working on complex or large programmes of work and a background in Java EE, SOA and Open Source development

You will be responsible for the delivery of the rules into test. Working with the RedHat technology stack (Portal, Fuse ESB, BRMS) and ensuring the code produced adheres to an acceptable standard by working with the build teams and mentoring when required.

Identifying and fixes bugs within the codebase and assists others with their more complex bugs.

Other essential skills required are:

Development experience across Drools, BRMS, JBoss EAP, Apache Camel, BPM Expert knowledge design/develop in JBPMExpert knowledge in design/development of DROOLSUnderstanding of internals of Rule Engine, RETE Extensive background in Databases; Understanding of Messaging Systems such as JBoss Messaging, ActiveMQ.Involved in analytical and problem diagnosis skills, involved in designing / coding

  • Red Hat JBoss
  • Hibernate/JPA (or other ORM framework)
  • maven and SVN
  • JBOSS (for example Enterprise Portal, BRMS/Drools, jBPM)
  • Comfortable with multiple Java technology stacks and has experience in wide ranging solutions
  • Experience of test driven development and/or continuous integration
  • Sound knowledge of the Public Sector and the issues and problems affecting the service area
  • Experience mentoring and coaching more junior colleagues
