The Opportunity:

As they continue to go through a period of extensive expansion, ensuring their IT business functions meet the company's challenging and multi-faceted IT requirements has become a key area of focus for their business, both here in the UK and internationally.

For this reason, they’re currently looking for an experienced IT Manager to take the lead on all IT-related projects and support all head office and global business functions. You’ll drive efficiencies and service, whilst delivering on a varied and increasing number of business-as-usual IT requirements, through the direct management of your team of IT Support professionals.

To be ideally suited you’ll have proven experience in varied and dynamic enterprise IT environments, where you’re accustomed to driving change and influencing key stakeholders to ensure their IT remains cutting-edge. This is perfect opportunity for someone who’s keen to play a key role in shaping and driving long-term IT strategy of a global market-leader whilst also playing a hands-on role supporting the IT team and the wider business.

Your role:

- Defining and delivering all aspects of long-term strategy, projects, infrastructure and change, along with day-to-day IT strategy for their busy IT Support function, in their global business.
- Take ownership of managing an enterprise environment, as it responds to rapid growth in IT users, whilst delivering business-as-usual IT functions. As well as managing a team, this will also involve being ‘hands-on’ especially in relation to IT support.
- Managing, training and mentoring a growing IT Support team, to ensure that they have the required technical knowledge to deliver business IT requirements successfully.
- Delivering IT services for business functions for their commercial operations, including R&D, Production, Sales and Logistics functions.
- Ensure hardware, software, database, network and security requirements of their integrated, multi-dimensional IT environment are met now and in the future.
- Confidence in liaising with and influencing key stakeholders, to ensure their objectives and expectations are met and managed, whilst creating reports and presentations to feedback to the business on the progress being made.

Your Skills & Experience:

- Management of strategy, projects, infrastructure, supplier management, change, budgets and business-as-usual enterprise IT functions. Ideally this will be within a manufacturing or logistics IT environment but this is not essential.
- Proven people management skills including experience of mentoring and upskilling members of an established IT team.
- Demonstrable experience of improving efficiencies, transforming, developing and re-engineering systems and processes is essential, whilst knowledge of Syspro, or a similar ERP system, is desirable.
- Experience of hands-on technical support and engaging with people at all levels of the business.
- Proven communication skills and experience managing several key stakeholder relationships in a growing, fast-paced and ever-changing business.
- Willingness to travel to offices across Europe and the rest of the world.
