Middleware Administrator Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, United Kingdom Competitive Job Description BDUK has a new and exciting requirement for a Middleware Administrator. The position covers aspects of administration designing and opportunities to develop integration applications using predominately Oracle Middleware technologies The ideal candidate we're looking for will have the following skills: - Strong knowledge of the Administering Weblogic Application Server is required - Experienced in deploying applications - Some knowledge with Weblogic scripting - Good understanding of Oracle Databases, with hands-on SQL and PL-SQL coding - Desirable experience with Oracle Fusion Middleware developments (SOA and OSB) - Desirable knowledge of IBM Middleware technologies would be beneficial Responsibilities Responsibilities include the overall management and administration of existing production and non-production environments. Application Integration (AI) management of associated system components and adapters. Working under minimal supervision and having a good overall oversight to maintain, and tune complex Middleware environments. The successful candidate will design and manage the Middleware stack within the organisation. This role will provide oversight as well as perform installations, deployments, upgrades, application migrations, and platform changes. Must also have experience with configuration management tools such as Subversion. Qualifications - Strong knowledge of Administering Weblogic Application Server is required - Defence sector background would be a significant advantage Other job related information This requisition is for a locally hired position in the UK.
