Scope & General Purpose of Job:To support the Financial Controller in all aspects of the work and contribute to the smooth running of the finance team on a day-to-day basis.

Candidates must have previous hotel experience.

Main Responsibilities:

To ensure the timely and accurate production of all financial information to the company standard. Conduct and monitor all the management accounting and control systems at unit level in line with company policy.To ensure that all weekly, monthly and quarterly returns and forecasts are produced in a timely and accurate manner, in order to facilitate the effective management of the hotel.To contribute to the financial success of the unit by monitoring costs and producing accurate weekly revenue forecasts.To act as champion for the new accounting system providing advice on best practice use of the system, resolving any ad hoc system related queries as required.To control hotel expenditure through the purchase ordering system (iPos) and the constant review of food and liquor margins.To ensure that all company standards are met for weekly and monthly rolling forecasts.To complete the necessary duties in sales ledger, purchase ledger, business control and payroll to the weekly and monthly time schedules.Constantly seek to improve day to day accounting routines to ensure smooth and efficient running of the finance teams.To ensure that all agreed standards of bookkeeping are maintained.Liaise with Group Finance Team on all aspects of financial reporting, forecasting and budgeting in addition to any ad hoc related finance queries as required.
