Arriva TrainCare is an independent rolling stock maintenance and refurbishment business based in Crewe, with 5 locations in the UK. Arriva TrainCare is a small but highly effective part of the UK Trains Division. So, what will the role of Engineering Director entail? Working jointly with Directors and Senior Managers of the business, as the Engineering Director you will undertake a key leadership role and be part of the Board of Directors. Along with the associated responsibilities, your key contribution will be to shape the future of the business through new and innovative engineering solutions for customers. As the Engineering Director, you will have several direct reports who manage functional teams, and the role comes with revenue delivery responsibility of £40m+ per annum. Your remit will include leading the development and delivery of the business strategy in the areas of engineering development, commercial products and services, technology enabled solutions and quality outcomes. You'll be responsible for managing and developing an effective team that delivers industry leading support to frontline managers and employees; enabling the sharing of best practice, continuous improvement principles, innovation and robust delivery of the company mission. What will I need to be considered for this Engineering Director vacancy? - Multi-functional experience at a senior level within a customer focussed business, ideally 5 years - A recognised professional qualification in Engineering - Commercially aware and astute with a focus on process and control - Self-motivated and a team player with excellent communication skills - Highly numerate with excellent presentation skills - A full valid driving licence and willingness to travel as required What will I receive in return and how to apply?
