Unique and challenging opportunities have arisen for skilled Automation Service Engineers to join a multi-million pound business working on innovative high specification machinery. A home based opportunity, these roles will entail predominantly international travel with occasional EU & UK, therefore flexibility is key. You will be providing technical support and training to a large installed base alongside assisting with installation & commissioning of new equipment. Principal Responsibilities: ? Communicate technically with Distributors/Service agents and Customers and ensure issues are resolved promptly ? Advise on the training requirements of the Distributors/Service Agents and Customers ? Ensure the Distributor and Service agents are working to current documentation and processes and ensure that upgrades are planned fitted and trained ? Provide regular reports on Distributor and Service agent performance ? Provide regular reports on Customer and Equipment performance ? Make recommendations to the Line Manager for service improvements for cost savings and efficiencies contributing to the overall commercial performance of the department ? Supervise necessary resource in within region To be considered for this role we are seeking applicants qualified ideally to HND level in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic Engineering with solid practical experience. You will also have a good working knowledge of PLC's being able to fault find and make small modifications. Also required: ? Excellent ability with robots preferred - however we do have opportunities for skilled automation engineers seeking to develop robot skills ? Any experience of ABB robots or Beckhoff PLC's highly advantageous - not essential ? Experience of automated equipment ? Proven experience providing field support or technical support for large and complex machinery These roles are home-based providing you have access to an international airport and are prepared to travel to the office base when required in Cambridgeshire. Work will involve international travel with trips up to 2 weeks at once. Ideal base locations would include Derby, Leicester, Nottingham, Northampton, Cambridge, Peterborough, Birmingham, Coventry, Milton Keynes, London, Bristol, Liverpool, Manchester, Sheffield and Leeds.
