The successful candidate will work with customers to define and govern business and IT transformation programmes Following defined Boeing processes and liaising with the customer and technical experts, the candidate will be expected to develop and govern enterprise architectures and transition architectures in support of transformation programmes Responsibilities - Working collaboratively within an integrated customer and supplier team to deliver jointly transformed Business and IT Services - Recommends/ designs structures and tools for processes, applications and technologies which meet business needs - Delivers technical visualisation of proposed applications for approval by customer and execution by system developers - Develops and translates logical designs into outline solution designs and solution options - Undertakes or supports trade studies and option evaluations, product selections - Undertakes or support business case development and benefit identification and benefit realization (including benchmarking and KPI development) - Develops enterprise architectures: - Develops and maintains business architectures, in particular, process architectures, business reference model, capability models - Develops and maintains information architectures, in particular taxonomies, high level information models, API's and common message formats - Develops and maintains application architectures, in particular logical architectures and canonical interface definitions - Develops and maintains technical architectures, in particular reference architectures an non-functional requirements including security considerations. - Identifies and evaluates potential solutions, including demonstrating, installing and commissioning selected products - Captures and develops architectures within a repository based architecture modeling tool - Translates client strategy into current ('as-is') and future state ('to-be') architectural models, and able to define meaningful transformation roadmaps and transition states - Develops strong client relationships, both business and technical, up to and including CXO level Competencies - Provides enterprise solutions to a wide range of difficult problems - Develops solutions that are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organization objectives - Contributes to the completion of specific programs and projects - failure to obtain results, reaching erroneous decisions or making recommendations would typically result in serious program delays and considerable expenditure of resources - Independently determines and develops approaches to solutions - Strategically and commercially astute; able to explain architecture in a strategic context to a wide variety of audiences - Able to win credibility rapidly with a variety of client stakeholders, up to and including CxO-level Division BDS Global Operations Relocation Assistance Available No. Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit. Qualifications Essential - Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in relevant subject (Computer Science, Engineering, Business) - Experience of capability based planning of business and IT transformation - Use Case and Scenario Modelling - Experience of digital and mobile computing architectures - Experience of selecting or implementing COTS software including ERP and best of breed packages - Experience of integration heavy solutions and SOA. - Demonstrable experience of working with staff at all levels including C-level, comfortable with conducting presentations and running meetings/workshops - Effective written and verbal communication skills. - Experience of the following notation: - Archimate 2 or 3 notation - MODAF - TOGAF 9 or 10 - Experience in the use of repository based Enterprise Architecture modelling tools (e.g. Troux, Sparx EA, Mega, iServer, System Architect). - Experience in translating strategy into architectural roadmaps and transition architectures in large change programmes Desirable - Experience in the Police domain would be highly desirable - Master's degree or Master's degree in relevant subject (Computer Science, Engineering, Business) - Experience of defence, blue light and/or government organisations - Experience in being accountable for the infrastructure and/or security aspects of an enterprise-scale delivery or operation - Experience with Lean Thinking, Theory of Constraints, six sigma or similar business improvement techniques - Experience of virtualization of storage, compute and network capabilities - Experience of information security and cryptography tools, techniques and strategies - Experience of DevOps and Agile development - Experience of user experience design and development of personas - Experience of working within a multinational matrix management environment / structure and a large-scale, complex international organization, but also within small teams Other job related information This posting is eligible for participation in the Employee Referral Programme.
