A a pro-active individual is required to oversee the day to day accounting and office administration from our Malpas office. You will be joining a team of five in the office and your main responsibility will be the accounts for Orchard House Property Developments Limited, but also two smaller companies; Land Planning Ltd and Fine Art Works Ltd. A general guide to hours are around 24-30 hours per week.
Main responsibilities:
Day to day bookkeeping to trial balance.Entering bank transactions/regular bank reconciliationsProcessing Supplier Invoices/reconciling to statementsPreparing payments; Suppliers and others such as Salaries/PAYE etc.Reconciling, checking and submitting VAT returns.Sales Invoicing/ liaising with customers/some credit control.Payroll for up to 9 staff - currently outsourced (we anticipate this role would eventually oversee this internally)Processing expensesSubmitting monthly CIS return.Regularly balance control accounts/company balances.Liaise with external accountants ensuring year end accounts information is on time and accurate.Answering the telephone/General Office admin.
What do we need from you?
All round experience of accounts and office administration.A self-starter who can manage their time effectively.Must have personal skills to deal with some strong individuals.
To have good knowledge of and be proficient in using Sage Line 50.Previous use of VT Transaction Plus software would be an advantage (although training can be arranged)Payroll and VAT experience.Construction Industry Scheme experience.
