Product Development Technician / Technical Assistant – R&D

Location: Hitchin, Hertfordshire – commutable from Letchworth Garden City, Stevenage, Biggleswade, Luton, Royston and surrounding areas.

Salary: Competitive

Hours: Monday – Thursday 8.30am – 5.00pm, Friday 8.30am – 4.30pm

The Development Technician will be accountable for assisting in all product development work, from development of new concepts right through to supporting factory trials. Supporting the Development Technologists and Development Project Manager you’ll work on both internal pilot lines trials as well as external factory trials at customer sites.

You’ll also work closely with the Development Chef and Home Economist, and will cook products for internal and external presentations and tastings. You’ll also liaise with suppliers and order ingredients as and when required.

This opportunity would be fantastic for recent graduates in a food related degree or for those with previous food related work experience. Candidates must have a valid driving licence and be able to travel to customers within the UK and EU.
