Assistant Accountant & Payroll/ Bookkeeper Tameside 9 Month Contract

Your new company
Assistant Accountant / Payroll person required for a well established manufacturing business in Tameside. The role is to cover maternity leave for a nine month contract.

Your new role
The role is varied and includes a weekly payroll of circa 200 people, ensuring strict timescales are adhered to, taking information from a clocking in system, timesheets and spread sheets. Duties will include processing bonuses and overtime, as well as carrying out all associated administration including recording holidays, sickness, maternity etc.This part of the role is for approx 2 days. The additional 3 days a week includes general finance duties such as maintaining the Sterling Cash Book, posting and allocating Credit/Debit cards receipts, coding and updating the expenses spread sheet, Intrastats, sales credit report, reviewing transport invoices /credit notes, utility invoices as well as other general administration duties

What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have weekly payroll experience as well as general accounts experience and be able to start at short notice.

What you'll get in return
The hours are 9 -5 Monday - Friday, with 28 days holiday, pension contribution , canteen and parking. They offer a varied role in a nice well established business. Salary is negotiable depending on experience.
