Greenergy supplies road fuel to customers in the UK and Canada. We operate globally with offices in Canada, the USA, Brazil and Dubai and source fuels from around the world, receiving over 700 shipments annually. To deliver fuel to our customers, we also have an in-house haulage operation employing over 250 drivers. Greenergy is a major investor in the UK's fuel infrastructure, regenerating import terminals that are essential to the country's ongoing supply security.

Located in Didsbury, Manchester

The role is based in our Finance Shared Service Centre based on the beautifully landscaped Towers Business Park in Didsbury with easy access to the motorway network and Manchester City Centre which is 11 minutes away by train.

The Role

Responsible for supporting the Corporate Reporting Manager, with particular emphasis on the tax and corporate reporting requirements of the Group.

Support the Corporate Reporting Manager in managing the Group’s tax requirements, including:

-working with tax advisers in the preparation and filing of annual tax computations and calculation of accounts provisions;

-reviewing international tax issues including transfer pricing and Country by Country reporting, maintaining and updating transfer pricing policies and documentation for existing relationships across Group companies (both inside and outside of the UK and any future transactions;

-reviewing the current tax structure and planning for any future opportunities; and

-understanding tax implications and effecting implementation for any new transactions.

Support the Corporate Reporting Manager to deliver all reports and returns as necessary, to ensure the business operates within the legal, statutory and regulatory requirement of the markets in which it operates. This includes quarterly reporting to shareholders, the year end and half year financial audits and preparation of both consolidated and separate statutory accounts for all Group companies.

Build strong relationships with the group finance team and the wider management group and assist the Corporate Reporting Manager with other project work as necessary.

Who we are looking for

·Qualified accountant and/or qualified tax professional, or qualified by virtue of relevant experience gained in industry, the profession or HMRC

·Expert technical and operational knowledge of corporate tax

·Good understanding of accounts and accounting under IFRS

·Ability to assess the potential impact of emerging tax developments and how to apply them in the context of the Group’s business

·Comfortable working independently of direct supervision and able to demonstrate personal initiative and drive

·A team player with an inquisitive and challenging approach, an exceptional analytical ability and a willingness to take ownership.

·A strong communicator who possesses an ability to develop trusting and credible relationships at all levels of the business.
