Position: Robotic Welding Technician x 2 Location: West Midlands Term: Permanent Remuneration: £Highly Negotiable and Full Benefits Our Client is one of the World leaders in the Tier 1 manufacture and supply of high technology components to the Automotive sector. Extremely busy supporting OEM customers like Jaguar Land Rover, Ford, and VW, to name but a few, we are now looking to recruit two experienced Robotic Welding Technicians to join them on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, your responsibilities will include the following: -Working with the Automotive OEM to generate equipment specification. -Introducing, stabilising and optimising equipment and process stability and leading continuous improvement activities. -Establishing and maintaining budgetary control for service, critical and consumable spares. -Creating and auditing PM/TPM and autonomous maintenance schedules and content. -Training and development of technical support, maintenance and operations. -Reducing technical downtime and increasing technical availability. -Support and training on programming, optimisation and weld speed. -Responsible lead for laser, MIG, CMT settings and process parameter, definition and documentation. -Responsible lead for programming ABB and ADEPT robot. -Lead for problem solving for welding process parameters, diagnosing hard/software. -Supporting and training continuously Weld Technicians and Setters in problem solving for welding issues. -Leading process to create standardised work instructions for preventative maintenance plans, including spare parts and realisation. -Responsible for implementing cost analysis process in welding (scrap reduction). -Giving support to mature new equipment to series productivity and support FMEA's process. -Fulfil a leadership role, doing effective communication and team building. Key Skills, Experience and Qualifications ideally required: -Ideally educated to at least HNC/HND level in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering. -Should ideally possess at least 4 years or more experience in Robotic Welding, Technical Process Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Tooling and Fixturing. -Will certainly have worked in a fast paced manufacturing environment, ideally Automotive or certainly an aligned industry sector. -Should ideally be experienced in 2D and 3D AutoCAD. -Should have excellent communication skills, Six Sigma and good Microsoft Office skills.
