UX Researcher

Asda Digital technology keep the customer at the center of all design and user experience efforts. UX Researchers make the customer perspective clear and accessible during design, and ensure we are creating the best sites & apps for our customers. We are looking for a UX Researcher to support our GHS and George.com roadmaps, and to evangelise the need for research within the wider Asda Digital business.

The researcher will provide end to end research support to the wider UX team. The role will span multiple websites, and will involve working with teams across the globe.

Skills required

You are skilled at moderating live studies, and know how to structure un-moderated studiesExperience with field studies, participatory design, heuristic evaluations, diary studies, storyboard walk-throughs, remote testing as well as face-to-face studyYou can incorporate research & metrics from other sources into your work to deliver actionable recommendations that inform design and business strategyExperienced in both qualitative and quantitative result driven researchYou work with our research partners (site analytics, consumer insights) to synthesize and leverage existing data and coordinate research effortsYou stay up-to-date with the latest industry news and developmentsYou develop team processes and standards, and help establish best practices for research

You have excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills, and the ability to influence peers & stakeholdersYou have strong organizational and planning skillsYou will have good business analysis skills and strong business acumenOpen to feedback, and strive to improve own performance based on that feedbackAttention to detail and follow through on issuesFlexible, organized, and able to handle competing prioritiesMust be able to multitaskProvide consistent, timely and proactive communication to cross-functional teams, senior managers, product/project groups, as well as specific functional groups

Qualifications & Experience:

PhDAlso considered; Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 2 years of experienceThe following areas of expertise are also a great advantage:Design ResearcherHCIPsychologyHuman FactorsCognitive Science or similar
