Guides Gaming Content Producer
Are you passionate about video-games, a natural organiser and have experience in capturing - and editing - video? We're looking for a confident, communicative and enthusiastic Guides Producer to lead a team of expert gamers in creating the best tips and guides resource on the internet. Reporting to the Senior Producer, Head of Video and Global EIC of GamesRadar+ you'll be responsible for managing the creation of original tips and guides content to complement our on-site offering. You will direct the team in producing, planning and capturing footage from all the key releases as well as identifying our viewers needs and converting those into unique and high quality video programming. Knowledge of all aspects of gaming is a must, as is a sound knowledge of search terms and SEO around tips and guide content. You should be able to work alone when necessary but you'll also be responsible for leading the team, managing their time and ultimately their output. You should also be familiar with both bespoke and popular video and text content management systems and be able to create easy to follow guides and tips from bullet-pointed guides, notes and sometimes raw footage.
Responsible for managing the guides team to create a range of tips and guide content. Understand the search-terms and phrases our audience will be looking for around key releases. Make sure all content is planned out and delivered in a timely manner. Understand the different techniques needed to deliver video content across a wide variety of platforms including YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and on-demand services. Be confident in writing copy based on notes and information supplied by the team. Uploading copy both created by you and other team members into our bespoke content management systems and other existing systems. Be prepared to capture live gaming content on location and generate ideas based on the material you've gathered. Proven planning and organisational skills. In-depth knowledge of a wide variety of games. Experience of working in a team and able to contribute to all areas of production. Working knowledge and understanding of video formats on all major platforms. Proficient using Adobe suite with proven editing experience. Knowledge of different content management systems. Previous experience of working in the games industry preferable.
