Who we are seeking
Educated to a Higher National Certificate/Degree level in an Engineering or equivalent, supported with an extensive technical knowledge of engineering and maintenance practises gained through experience and a chartered member of relevant institution.
An understanding of health, safety and environmental legislation and standards and a positive safety mind set possessing the ability to drive the correct safety culture in others including a safety management qualification (Institute of Occupational Safety and Health – Managing Safely / National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health Certificate)
Positive work ethic with the confidence to challenge established practices.
Full understanding of and ability to deliver SAP & Maintenance best practice.
Sound financial, commercial and contract management skills.

What we are looking forAs a Maintenance Lead Engineer, you will lead the team to ensure delivery of (and support development of) maintenance strategy for CDC Power Station, delivery of minor outages including the provision of contract specifications/tendering and associated contract management. Support the Maintenance Delivery Team Leader with the leadership and delivery and overall priorities of the maintenance team to enable the technical, safety and commercial performance of the plant to deliver operational requirements in a safe, environmentally and statutory compliant manner. To do so with excellent leadership within resource and financial guidelines to ensure the operation, engineering health, integrity and performance of the asset in a safe, efficient and compliant manner, in coordination with the Production department, maximising the commercial benefit to Uniper. Main Responsibilities
•Lead the development, refinement, improvement and delivery of maintenance strategies to achieve key technical performance indicators;
•Support the development of the Maintenance team to help them maximise their contribution to the business.
•Lead the identification and resolution of plant problems, the assessment of risks and opportunities for adding value to the business
•Lead the drive to embed quality systems and processes as per Uniper policy to ensure best practice
•Lead for a culture of health, safety, environmental awareness and quality and lead the development, planning and delivery of improvements in all these areas for CDC.
