Site Manager - Civil Engineering
Trant Engineering Limited is a multi discipline Engineering & Construction company, with offices and projects throughout the UK and Overseas. We have a number of different divisions, including; Energy, Oil & Gas, Water & Process, International & Automation. We have over 700 employees and with a healthy forward order book and a projected turnover of £140m this year, it could not be a better time to join the business.
We have an immediate requirement for a Site Manager to join us on a contract basis, to work on an energy contract in South Wales. The project is a £2m Flood Alleviation Scheme for National Grid and works comprise of sheet piling, drainage, ducting and minor M&E works. This is a 36 week program and we are keen to receive applications either from contractors or from individuals seeking permanent employment, who would be happy to work away following completion of this contract.
Reporting into a Contracts Manager and working closely with the SHEQ & Commercial teams, duties include but are not limited to;
· Managing a site team
· Ensuring project delivery within program and budget
· Controlling safety, quality & environmental activities
· Subcontract management
· Client interface
· Temporary Works
· Progress reporting
Due to the complexity of works, it is essential that applicants have a background in the successful delivery of civil engineering projects. It may be that you are currently working as a Site Manager or perhaps you are a Sub Agent with a background of delivering civil engineering contracts, seeking to take the next step in your career. Either way, you will have an excellent technical ability in civil engineering and be a strong manager of people, possessing the ability to get the most out of your team.
Desired Skills / Background
· HND/BEng in Civil Engineering or by experience
