We are seeking to appoint Director of New Product Development for the Advanced Wound Devices division of Acelity - Systagenix. This position will have leadership and strategic responsibility for the delivery of scientific, technical and product development goals. Detailed Job Description The Director of New Product Development works closely with key stakeholders to create and execute the strategy and technical leadership for NPD personnel, program and project to meet corporate goals. Principle responsibilities include: Ensure that processes and individuals are in place to ensure work is designed, diligently conducted, recorded, completed and thoroughly summarised Be the technical expert, plans and manages development programmes/projects and originates designs and directs investigations in relevant areas of science and technology Program budget, resourcing and work prioritisation On time delivery of projects to agreed quality levels Execute complex, mutli-disciplinary technical projects. Shares knowledge and influences colleagues in NPD and other disciplines Provide strategic input into the wound care technology and new product introduction plans Candidate's Profile The successful Director of New Product Development will be able to; Work from the Leeds head office Demonstrated ability to lead new product portfolio planning activities Have a successful track record of NPD from the medical devices sector Demonstrate experience and ability as a senior scientific or engineering role within R&D for multi-projects and staff management Experienced in design control, design excellence and project and pipeline management process In addition to these core competencies, you will also be able to mirror the values of the organisation around; Applies values in an open, honest and ethical manner Forges a vision of the future Focuses on customers, business results and supports business growth Promote innovation and continuous learning Builds interdepent partnerships Managing complexity Implements positive change Creates an achievement environment Develops people for optimal performance What's on offer Competitive basic and package Where specific UK qualifications are required we will take into account overseas equivalents.
