You will lead a very professional and proud team of approximately 6 people; you will lead, motivate and coach the team to promote the RS Brand and Values and deliver value to our customers, our people and our business

You will need a passion to develop the business and your team, have experience and ability to work in partnership with Regional Field Sales to drive customer value and run an operationally efficient and effective branch.

About the role

The Branch Manager is responsible for managing and leading the team at the Brach on a day to day basis, achieving or exceeding all sales and operational targets through local implementation of the wider Go To Market strategy.

You will coach and lead your team to develop and implement local business development plans, local execution of marketing campaigns, deliver excellent customer service, operational effectiveness and H&S management.

The Branch Manager will plan and implement sales initiatives which will increase sales and same day delivery revenues. The role will involve developing and maintaining customer relationships by providing support and reinforcement of the RS brand values and strategies in the local market.

You will be empowered to make decisions regarding the day to day running of the branch which includes the management of all key aspect of the role; Commercial activities, warehouse management and resource management. You will also have a responsibility to make the Branch a safe and secure working environment for both your team and customers.

You will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills as the role requires strong relationship management.

What we're looking for:

  • Commercial skills are essential gained from working in either a B2B, Retail or Logistics environment.
  • Experience of driving business development.
  • Experience of managing budgets
  • Proven people leader with the ability to drive the success of a business through a high performing team
  • Ability to develop and implement local business plans
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, both verbal and written together with excellent influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Full UK driving license.
