As a Project Engineer (Aerospace) with Altran, you will be fundamental to our ability to deliver to our customers and clients. Our customer expectations are high, as such we are looking for adaptive driven people to deliver on time to required quality. Responsibilities: - While the day-to-day role is focused on project coordination, management and leadership, it requires a sound theoretical understanding of engineering methods and product knowledge - Preparation, implementation and monitoring of project plans, project risk registers, project priorities, and formal deliverables - Monitoring and influencing the technical and schedule progress of project tasks, proactively identify risks and issues, and recommend solutions - Act as a central project point of contact, liaising between programme management, subject matter experts, and other engineering stakeholders on technical and project matters - Preparing inputs for and reviewing technical reports delivered under the project - Coordinate task and deliverable owners to ensure on-time delivery of projects to a dynamic schedule - Represent the needs and priorities of the business to engineering leads - Maintain a strong and effective day-to-day working relationship with client contacts Your profile Youwill possess creative problem-solving skills in a team environment and comfortable with communicating clearly and efficiently throughout varying levels of both the customer and Altran businesses. Due to the nature of the assignments undertaken by Altran you will work in an environment that promotes autonomy and initiative, requiring a flexible attitude. Above all, you will have a desire to progress. Qualification and Education: - Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in engineering or similar technical discipline Skills and Requirements: - Experience of working in an engineering role with aerospace systems, gas turbines, or similarly complex mechanical systems and industries - Experience in project engineering or project management and a good knowledge of project control methods and principles - Technical project coordination and delivery experience in engineering business environment, ideally in aerospace or similar high technology industry - Demonstrable success in meeting on-time delivery and process quality requirements on engineering projects - Experience of succeeding in a range of organisational structures and working environments and able to manage a variety of stakeholders - Be system-oriented, with a general understanding of the project/problem to solve, and the ability to consult specialists when deeper expertise is needed and to integrate their inputs into a more global solution - Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate and cooperate with a wide range of stakeholder skill types and seniority levels, both internally and externally - Be willing to adapt to the individual and specific management style of each project and partners involved, in order to guarantee a successful development - Good grasp of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Project In addition to the culture and career development opportunities at Altran, we offer a matched pension scheme, healthcare and generous holiday allowance.
