Delivery Programme Engineering Manager The Delivery Programme Engineering Manager (DPEM) role reports to the Strategic ISR Programme Engineering Manager and will be responsible for the engineering of a multiple discipline engineering workforceon the RAF Sentinel platform. This position requires sound knowledge and experience of Engineering Management in an aerospace environment , particularly on mid to large size transport aircraft, with a focus on military variants. Primarily based at RAF Waddington, the successful candidate will also contribute to the growing Airborne ISR Team which delivers aviation engineering expertise across a wide range of projects and will therefore be expected to occasionally work at our other UK sites. Main duties: Maintaining oversight of customer tasking and adherence to task deadlines. Delegating tasking to Engineers, ensuring that skill sets are matched to requirement. Assisting in the management of cost adherence to the programme budgets, using 'earned value' techniques. Assisting in Cost Account Management for assigned work packages. Creation of estimates for new work and bids. Resource management and workload forecasting of engineering tasking. Production of data and slides for programme and functional meetings. Maintenance of and monitoring Engineering KPI's. Reporting performance to the Programme and Function. Deputising for the Strategic ISR PEM where required. Applicant requirements: Essential Proven technical knowledge and management on aerospace programmes Clear understanding of financial management. Experience and knowledge of managing and motivating a group of engineers with varying and diverse skill sets. Confident and competent in a customer facing role, Ability to interact with senior external personnel on significant engineering matters Confident and proficient in presenting to Engineering and Programme Leadership Team. Attention to detail Excellent Microsoft office program skills. Desirable Understanding of Programme Management and scheduling. BSc / BEng. in Engineering, Science, or Engineering Management. Experience in continuous improvement / 6 sigma techniques. Professionally registered, as IEng or CEng. Eligible for or Holder of current SC security clearance (RSL will sponsor as required).
