Chase & Holland are proud to be working with a growing non-profit company based in Ilkeston who are looking for a Part Time Payroll Officer to join their Finance team. This role will see you take responsibility for the accurate preparation and processing of monthly staff payroll, providing a quality and accurate payroll and accounts service and support to the HR and Finance Teams. Key Responsibilities: - Process a monthly payroll for approx 600 staff on the payroll system to set deadlines, including Additions, Deductions, Pension auto enrolment, PAYE, Reports, Payslips, P45's, P46s etc. - Take responsibility for prompt payroll related correspondence with employees and managers, both verbally and in writing, liaising with HR as necessary and providing copies of letters for personnel files. - Work with HR to ensure the correct calculation and processing of statutory payments such as SSP, SMP, SPP and all other statutory payments that may arise. - Ensure timely processing and payment and effective time management with regards to payroll. - Conduct monitoring to ensure compliance with National Minimum Wage regulations, reporting to the HR department as necessary. - Liaise with all departments to ensure accuracy of payroll information, following up and resolving queries. - Carry out checks and controls with HR data and Payroll system to ensure accuracy of payroll data. - Monthly reconciliation of payroll control accounts and HMRC payments, resolving problems as required. - To process year-end tax returns for payroll (P60's, P11d's and Class 1A National Insurance). - Work collaboratively across the organisation to develop and implement effective payroll systems and processes. - Assist the Finance and HR teams in collating and analysing information for specific projects as required. - Other ad-hoc duties as required Hours of work per week - 25 hours per week (Flexible) The organisation has won numerous 'best employer' awards, alongside others for their impact on communities and their success as a social enterprise.
