Risk Manager - Nuclear Role Outline/ Responsibilities Key Responsibilities include: * Lead the development of the project's risk, opportunities and issues (ROIs) analysis and management strategies * Participate in the assessment of project risks * Report the risk position of the project to the project manager * Advise the management team on changing risks and emerging threats * Produce and maintain a Risk Management Plan for the project * Track risk responses and interface with risk owners to ensure successful delivery of risk reduction actions * Conduct Schedule Risk Analysis if and when required to provide forecast of key milestones delivery dates at the P10, P50 and P90 position * Conduct Cost Risk Analysis to provide 'in year' forecasts of costs for the project at the P10, P50 and P90 position. Include risk, cost uncertainty, escalation and prolongation * Provide forecasts of management reserves to be held at Project, level * Facilitate risk reviews and workshops * Maintain Risk Registers for the Project * Produce Monthly risk input to reporting, including OPR * Responsible for personal workload and ensuring all deadlines are met * Responsible for undertaking other duties as required by line and task management Qualifications & Experience Must Have * Good communication skills and ability to negotiate and influence others including building and maintaining effective relationships with multiple stakeholders * Degree qualified or relevant experience. * Experience of modern risk management techniques within complex, multifunctional organisations. * Knowledge and understanding of processes involved in planning and strategy; organisation and governance; personnel and professional matters * SC clearance * UK National Desirable * DV clearance * Membership of a relevant professional body * Knowledge of the full project life cycle stage-gate principles of project delivery. The Company system will be explained after engagement. * Knowledge of UK Health and Safety Legislation, information concerning specific company safety, quality and security procedures shall be provided in-post. * Experience of working on complex nuclear infrastructure projects * Experience of defence (infrastructure) projects * Project management competence is desirable from one of the following routes: o Qualification such as APMP, PMP or Prince2. o Membership of a relevant Professional body where PM Competence is a criteria for qualification.
