Employer Description This IT support company support and help different successful business in using technology. Their support team meets business needs to keep their systems up and running and dealing with any problems or queries. Job description: We are looking for passionate individuals that wants to build a career within an IT role, as part of our Traineeship Programme. Our 14 week Traineeship is an education and training programme with work experience that is focused on giving young people the skills and experience that employers are looking for. At its core are work preparation training, English and Maths for those who need it, and a high quality work experience placement. Starts with 4 weeks Training at our QA Learning Centre in Reading receiving coaching in Employability and interview skills, Maths and English Functional Skills (If needed) and also IT training. Then it will be 6 weeks work experience within your IT Support role. Main Responsibilities: (Training will be provided) - Shadowing senior employees, learning the basic of customer support within IT - Managing the IT ticketing system, learning the make of a PC on how it works and correcting issues - After learning the basic you will then start to develop in helping customers over the phone - Create and maintain documentation of system configuration and processes - Provide remote support to ensure business continuity - Provide day to day support generalist support on all Microsoft applications - Support IT Manager on implementation of new projects Then you will return to our QA Learning Centre in Reading for a further 4 weeks to complete training. Qualities/ requirements Job Requirements - Excellent communication skills - Good telephone manor - Be able to listening and follow instruction in a professional manor - Be able to work as part of team and to be self-motivated - Good Customer service - Currently not in a job with little or no work experience. - Qualified below a level 3 (A-Level) - Must be able to travel to Reading for Training - Must be able to drive or cycle to travel to work placement Personal Qualities - Motivated - Punctual - Team player - Excellent customer service skills - Confident - Driven Qualifications gained City & Guilds Level 1 Award in IT Systems Support Functional Skills English & Maths (if not already achieved GCSE A*-C or Functional Skills Level 2) Potential of gaining an Apprenticeship or Full time work after Other Important Information Working hours - 9.30am - 4.30pm, Monday- Friday This Traineeships Opportunity is unwaged Are you eligible? 1.
