We are looking to recruit a front-end focused Web Developer to join our team. Our Web Development team are involved in many different projects and play a critical part in the development of the business. You will need to have the ability to be creative and think outside the box, we are looking for someone who has awareness of good design but more importantly excellent programming skills and a hunger to continually stay ahead of the game. As a Front End Developer you will help shape and define our creative and collaborative processes employing best practice to create performant products with great UX. You'd be encouraged to explore new technologies where good business value is evident. We currently use Angular, we'd like you to have experienced it and be comfortable working with it. The main duties of the role will be: ? Create scalable functionality using a modular toolbox approach for both websites and intranet systems ? Interpreting and helping to write requirement briefs, specifications, wireframes and designs ? Mentoring and collaborating with members of the team ? Help shape our frontend solutions and process The ideal candidate for this role will have: ? Proven experience within HTML and CSS (SASS/Compass is our chosen pre-compiler) ? Strong working knowledge of JavaScript (angular.js is our framework of choice) ? Git Versioning Control ? Mobile / Responsive web design Experience of the following would be desirable but is not essential for this role: ? Project Management/ Team Lead Experience ? Understanding of SMACSS Irrespective of the role, the "non-negotiable" for any of our colleagues are, drive, character, attitude, energy and talent. Relevant IT experience is important to us, as can be seen by the responsibilities of the role, but is not sufficient on its own as you will need to demonstrate that you have used those attributes to achieve your goals in the past.
