Your key responsibilities - Being the main point of contact for the business areas and working with them to develop their skills and accountability to ensure a centre of excellence approach. - Implementing a standard suite of health and safety programmes through the uplifted health and safety management system. - Reviewing live risk assessments to ensure the correct standards of risk management are built in at all times. - Mentoring, coaching and developing our operational customers on health and safety to fulfil the dynamic needs of the business. - Creating a centre of Excellence approach to utilise all skills across the business and reduce risk by skill sharing and cross pollination of resource to the business. - Developing and delivering process improvement programmes with the Health and Safety Team, stakeholders and subject matter experts. - Leading and supporting as required Health & Safety risk management and incident investigation and analysis programmes by providing data and insight. Your Skills - previous experience of working in a diverse, fast paced environment, you'll have excellent communication skills and have experience influencing key stakeholders within the business. - strong interpersonal skills in order to establish credibility with colleagues and to foster effective working relations with a wide range of senior internal and external sponsors. - NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent as well as strong experience in Facility Management in large organisations. - confident to manage personnel who are highly skilled and technically disciplined. The role is to never accept the middle ground but to seek the best in class provision of health and safety at all times. - knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, codes of practice, guidance and operating procedures. Ability to keep abreast of trends and related best practice.
