Proeon Systems was formed in 2003 and is a forward thinking and successful industrial controls company specialising in the supply of high quality control and safety systems, we are based in Hethel, Norfolk. Job Description: Required to pro-actively promote Proeon within the identified markets by providing Technical Sales support for new business opportunities. Preparing detailed proposals, supported as necessary by the engineering department. Specific responsibilities include: - Generate high quality technical & commercial proposals and pre-qualifications - To prepare bids, tenders and technical solutions supported by the engineering team as appropriate - Establish and maintain relationships with customers and partner organisations - Liaison with the Engineering team to establish and promote best fit proposals - Gather intelligence on customers and competitors and support the assessment of market opportunities and target markets - To travel when required to do so throughout the UK and overseas Pre-requisites: - Technical/Engineering background with an Engineering HND/Degree or equivalent - Ability to interpret clients requirements and realise them into control system offerings, typically based around common PLC platforms (Siemens, Rockwell, et al) - Experience in holding a customer facing role within a control system's integrator for the energy, oil & gas, petrochemical, nuclear, utility or power generation industry - Experience of CRM based software an advantage - Previous sales team experience with proven track record of success - Possess exceptional self-discipline and all round commercial skills - Target and sales driven with excellent presentation skills - Excellent interpersonal communication skills both with external and internal customers, being able to present and influence business heads - Excellent planning; organisation and problem solving skills - Possess a flexible attitude to UK and overseas travel - Results driven with a keen attention to detail and accuracy - Support the Company's drive for continuous improvement and work within agreed KPI's - Ability to take on responsibility as the business grows - Demonstrating professionalism, together with exceptional self-discipline and time management skills - Previous experience in the development and/or specification of Hazardous Area, Functional Safety and Fire & Gas Systems .
