Events Marketing Manager | London The company has an exciting opportunity for an Events Marketing Manager. Reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer, this individual will be responsible for the formulation of marketing strategy and implementation of marketing activities to achieve event revenue goals for the company's growing portfolio of global events. The company's Events includes day conferences and weeklong events, tailored to consumers and businesses, across multiple content verticals with a particular focus on the finance, science, technology and sustainability sectors. This position must drive events strategically and take a hands-on approach to delivering high volumes of execution within a hyper-growth fast paced environment. Additionally, the role will manage with internal resources including, sales, design, product marketing, editorial, communications teams, etc. for planning and execution of events. This is a full time role based in Canary Wharf, London. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES Campaign Strategy: - Responsible for formulation of marketing strategy from beginning to end and implementation of marketing activities to achieve event revenue goals for assigned events; - Research and analysis for events to ensure the correct marketing strategy is delivered; - Develop formal marketing plans outlining direct marketing and database strategies, including: budget, audience segmentation, messaging/positioning, channel and touch strategies; - Develop external list strategy and identify appropriate list vendors, rent lists, and manage their use; - Contribute to development and execution of the Search, Social Media and Web Content Strategy for assigned events; - Develop business partnership relationships Campaign Management: - Manage & deliver the marketing campaign for a portfolio of existing & new launch global conferences - Deliver marketing campaigns - on time, to budget, brief creative, contributing throughout the process and providing final approval; - Optimize campaign CPA and ROI and provide reporting and analysis; - Copy writing for marketing materials for events, including emails, brochures, websites etc. - Perform pre, mid-campaign and post event analysis and use to inform and improve; - Design ideas for all marketing collateral - To report weekly against targets, analyzing marketing activity and making recommendations to capture new opportunities for any remedial actions and reporting results and key learnings REQUIREMENTS - Associate's Degree or Bachelor's degree in marketing or equivalent - Experience in marketing, with direct experience in event promotion, digital and/or business to business environment - Experience with email marketing, marketing automation, and campaign analysis - Experience in direct marketing - Experience in list management and database management - Strong collaboration skills, ability to work with others at different levels in the organization, strong copywriting talent - Direct experience with Marketo, Silverpop, Eloqua or another marketing automation platform is preferred - Comfortable to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment - Experience with fundamental principles of design - Copywriting/editing - Project and time management skills
