Job Title: Aeronautical Systems Engineer (Development opportunity) Req ID: 101326BR Location: Broughton Summary of Role: As an Aeronautical Systems Engineer you will join the Aircraft Design Team within our Airborne Solutions business based at Broughton. This role is ideally suited to a recent graduate aeronautical engineer with related experience. The role offers an exciting professional development opportunity where you will be engaged in a variety of aircraft modification programmes and other aerospace engineering activities conducted by Airborne Solutions, delivering aerospace solutions to domestic and international customers. This includes being responsible for the development of systems and modifications to air platforms in support of the Airborne Solutions business. Main Duties: - Developing aeronautical design modifications for A/C avionic and electrical systems and capability enhancements in accordance with regulatory requirements. - Analysis of electrical or avionic system design issues, determination of actions and solutions. - Liaison with OEM's in order to specify equipment for use within Airborne Solutions design solutions. - Support to internal and external customer reviews. - Ensuring that all engineering activities undertaken are conducted in accordance with Raytheon UK policies and procedures. Candidate Requirements: Essential: - A Degree or equivalent in Aerospace Systems, Avionics, Aeronautical or Electrical Systems Engineering discipline. - Experience in Aircraft Avionic and Electrical Systems - A good understanding of System Engineer principles - A logical problem solver who can operate effectively under stretching project constraints. - Able to manage and work within agreed timescales. - Able to use initiative to improve team process and performance. - Self-motivated and a team player - IT literate - Eligible for or holder of current SC security clearance (RSL will sponsor as required). Desirable: - Understanding of aircraft certification basis and safety systems - Flexibility to travel within UK and occasionally abroad to support meetings About Raytheon: Raytheon UK is a subsidiary of Raytheon Company.
