Employer Description Our client is a leading transport and logistics provider. As an IT Support apprentice you will sit on the help desk as part of the 1st line support team. Key Responsibilities: Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. As an IT support apprentice, you would work on site or remotely by phone, email or using web-based applications. - Helpdesk duties - User IT support around the facility - Carrying out first-line IT support, utilising company IT Helpdesk system - Deploying and configuring computer hardware and applications - Monitoring and maintaining computer systems, printers and networks - Maintaining back-up procedures, user account creation and management - Trouble-shooting and repair of PC hardware and applications, and general network issue Required Skills: The successful candidate will have - - Previous part time job working experience, doesn't need to IT related. - A genuine interest in IT and Technology looking to gain experience and a long term career in the IT industry - Someone who is willing to learn and work towards professional industry certifications - Someone who is looking to gain experience and a long term career in the IT industry - Outgoing with good telephone manner The successful candidate will be expected to attend work punctually, have a desire to progress and be able to work on their own initiative. Qualification: - 5 National 5's at A-C level including English and Math's Important Information "QA's apprenticeship programmes may be funded in part by the European Union through the European Social Fund, which supports the development of employment opportunities and a skilled workforce." Additional Information: - Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm - After the 1st year a shift pattern will apply between the hours of 6:00am - 6:00pm
