Aerospace Manufacturing company based in Consett, County Durham requires a Key Account / Customer Support Manager - to take accountability for structuring, leading and executing key customer product programmes. This is a ''Desk Sales'' driven key account management type role, with limited travel, and requires a data-driven individual with excellent communication skills. The company employs c600 staff across 4 sites in the UK and 2 in Poland. The CNC machining, fabrication and treatment manufacturing site of it's headquarter site in Consett, manufactures metal structural components for aircraft. Reporting to the Group Sales Director, the Key Account Manager will be working as part of the sales team to ensure day to day customer requirements are fully met, working with specified customers in an account management role. MAIN DUTIES - Management of key accounts, responsible for managing customer SLA issues and reporting to the wider team, facilitating all customer concerns to the required personnel within the Company. - Communicate with customers on all day-day issues. - Provide first line contact for customer sales queries and escalating to sales team and/or others as appropriate. - Manage/progress customer complaints ensuring follow through to completion. - Manage customer expectations and report on customer satisfaction or issue arising. - Attend customer meetings on a regular basis. - Successfully prepare and present customer presentations & performance reports. - Work with Contracts Manager to maximise revenue opportunities on key accounts. - Ensure company products and services are offered with appropriate, competitive terms and conditions. - Ensure that signed contracts are communicated to all relevant parties to provide contract visibility and awareness, interpretation to support implementation, ensuring contract close-out, extension or renewal. - Handle on-going issue and change management. RESPONSIBLE FOR - Achieve sales, gross margin and budgets within the market - Growing sales for the sector and for building profitable relationships with key individuals/organisations within the sector. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED - Full Driving Licence - GCSE in English and Maths or equivalent - Degree level qualification in Business or other relevant SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED - Substantial experience of working in similar role. - Proven experience in successfully managing and developing key accounts. - Ability to forge and develop relationships with key decision makers - both internally and externally. - Experience of building and sustaining relationships. - Experience within the manufacturing industry preferable.
